Once you know your product's model, you can double-check if a product is compatible with your iPad model.
Identifying your iPad
There are two simple ways to find your iPad model:
1. Check in iPadOS
With your iPad turned on:
- Open the Settings app
- Go to General > About
You’ll see your device information, including the model name, for example, iPad (5th generation).
2. Check the Model Number on the Device
You can also identify your iPad using its model number:
To find your iPad model number:
- Remove any case or protective cover
- Turn your iPad over
- Look near the bottom for two lines of small text
At the end of the first line, you’ll find the model number, usually starting with “A”.
