Rest assured that this is a normal phenomenon due to the piezoelectric effect in MLCCs (Multilayer Ceramic Ceramic Chip Capacitors) and that Lounge Q sometimes will create this high-frequency voltage change on the internal ceramic capacitor when not charging a device. It is still safe to continue using Lounge Q and to keep it plugged in even if you are not always charging a device.
